The Uganda Film Festival Awards also known as UFF Awards, are presented annually to recognize excellence in the film Industry in Uganda. Nominated films are screened at a five-day festival like Ateker Documentary.
The documentary did not win the award for best documentary in Uganda, but it did win the award at The Shorts festival in Lagos Nigeria!

With the support of a grant from the National Geographic Society they are now focusing their research on the primates of Uganda. They conducted primate surveys in northeastern Uganda from 2014 to 2017
