David, Oct 2023 – As far as locations go this one is unbeatable. Timu Eco Camp lies high on a mountain ridge with spectacular views in all directions, just being here is worth it.
The tents are nicely positioned on the slopes and I could happily spend the whole day just sitting outside mine and watching the clouds roll by, the colours change… a wonderful place. The facilities are a bit basic – I managed OK with the bucket shower and the food was mostly good if a bit basic too.
Yesterday we had the pleasure to share our culture with photographer Maria who’s on a journey through Africa to document stories through food and finally make an unique African cookbook ‘Eating with Africa’.
