In the first phase, the camp will host biodiversity researchers to ascertain a baseline for our conservation activities. Besides that, it will function as a basecamp for our biodiversity and conservation monitoring team.
From October this year, we are expecting to also host travellers as part of Kara-Tunga Camps network of accommodation facilities in Uganda’s northeastern Karamoja region.
We can’t wait to share this with more people and positively impact the protection, and restoration of biodiversity as well as create economic opportunities for the community.

Opening Pian-Upe Eco Camp for Researchers
We are excited to share our new Eco Camp at the stunning foothills of Mt Kadam and Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve. The camp is part of the Karamoja Conservation Zones initiative.
