Kara-Tunga will be joined forces with Loremi Tours to showcase Uganda’s upcoming destinations being Karamoja and Acholi. They will connect with German tour operators and travel agents to discuss potential partnerships.
Kara-Tunga’s participation in the Trade Show was a great opportunity to generate new business for the new tourism destinations and the Ugandan tourism industry as a whole.
About Kara-Tunga
Kara-Tunga is a Ugandan tour operator and hotelier which specializes in tailor-made and group adventure tours and safaris in the countries off-the-beaten-path Karamoja region. The social enterprise has been in operation for over 7 years and has a team of experienced and knowledgeable indigenous staff.
The participation of Kara-Tunga and Loremi Tours was made possible by the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. Kara-Tunga has been collaborating with CBI for many years with special focus on developing and promoting destination Karamoja.
Knowing which animals live where is critical to planning effective conservation following to the two researchers. With the support of a grant from the National Geographic Society they are now focusing their research on the primates of Uganda. They conducted primate surveys in northeastern Uganda from 2014 to 2017
