For the fourth time I have visited the beautiful land of the Karamoja, with its beautiful people. For the second time I joined the Tour of Karamoja, the 7-day cycling trip through the hills and valleys in Uganda and Kenya.
Launch of Tourism trails in The Pearl of Africa – The 3-year project is aimed at improving and diversifying products in adventure and cultural tourism in Uganda’s East and Northeast (Sebei and Karamoja subregions).
The countdown has begun and the Tour of Karamoja – Easter 2022 will be flagged-off in exactly 3 months from today on 15th of April 202. For the first time in history of the event, participants can join preparation rides to get mentally and physically ready for the event.
Until recently, Karamoja was barely a blip on the map. Yet, the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage are a hard contrast with visible signs of severe poverty and struggle, as Karamoja stands as one of the world’s most impoverished regions.
