Extended itinerary: Enjoy an extra day to explore the region and connect with the community.
Authentic cultural experiences: Stay in East Africa’s largest traditional village, Nakapelimoru, and spend a night at Matany Girls’ School to learn about the impact of the event firsthand.
New western route: Discover stunning landscapes and vibrant communities in the previously unexplored western part of Karamoja.

In preparation for the the Tour of Karamoja – Easter 2022 event, we partnered with the annual Nabugabo Triathlon held on Sunday 20th February in Uganda. The triathlon is the perfect event to test your fitness and meet likeminded people and participants of previous editions of the Tour of Karamoja.
27th September 2022, at World Tourism Day Celebrations, Kara-Tunga Tours was recognized by the Government of Uganda Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry, Uganda for Its “Passion and Promotion of Community Tourism in Uganda”.
The first edition of the ‘Spirit of Karamoja‘ event was a success with: A social bike ride, crafts market, tour info desk, the Karamoja Quiz and dances. Next on the agenda is: Tour of Karamoja – Uganda Bike Adventure for Education 25 Oct – 4 Nov 2024.
