Maria Schiffer, 11th December 2022 – I’m back in Uganda because of Theo, whom I met while working on my book Eating With Africa In 2018. I’ve been traveling along the Warrior Nomad Trail the last week, researching and experiencing Community Tourism.
The French Embassy in Uganda invited stakeholders from Uganda’s tourism and agro-business sector to share thoughts on how to harness bi-lateral relationship between France and Uganda. The meeting was attended by our secretary Theo Vos and other tourism entrepreneurs and government representatives.
We are celebrating a milestone in the development of the Warrior Nomad Trail with a workshop attended by 35 key-tourism stakeholders from Uganda’s Karamoja region. Karamoja Tourism Development
Kara-Tunga recently launched it’s nonprofit Foundation aimed at increasing its impact and manage their developmental activities like the annual Tour of Karamoja Bicycle Event, Community Tours, Karamoja Tourism Academy, Warrior Nomad Tourist Trail and Karamoja Conservation Zones initiatives.
