As first in Uganda, the people of Karamoja have developed a Travel Manifesto stating their dreams and a Tourist Pledge for visitors to sign.
Tuesday, 13th December 2022 – Regional tourism and hospitality stakeholders congregated in Moroto for the 4th edition of the Karamoja Tourism Coordination Platform.
Gabriel Gersch supports development Uganda’s Warrior Nomad Trail – Gabriel has a special connection with the wilderness and especially Karamoja. Seven years ago, it’s believed that he was the first modern-day adventurer to walk the full length of Karamojaland in 100 years. He is therefore the perfect person to help develop the long-distance walking trail.

The process was guided by ViaVia Tourism Academy, part of the Adventure Tourism Uganda initiative, initiated by Kara-Tunga Tours and supported by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
