Day 75, 8480km, Roadtrip through Karamoja; Moroto, Karamoja. In the last few days, we have found ourselves in the little known, relatively undiscovered and exceptionally beautiful North East of Uganda in a province called Karamoja.
I just returned from a weeklong 350-mile cycling tour in the truly remote reaches of Northeast Uganda and Northwest Kenya known as the Tour of Karamoja; and while I feel a little tired from the physical effort, boy do I feel inspired, mentally refreshed, recharged and rejuvenated!
The direction, teachers and parents of Acorns International School Kampala sent their children on an unforgettable cultural exchange and outdoor adventure to Karamoja.
Last Year we had the pleasure to host Dutch fashion designer Jan Boelo for 4 days in Karamoja for an inspirational trip. This month his story was featured in Marie Claire magazine and the designer wrote a beautiful story about his #DiscoverKaramoja experience and the creation of a garment based on the iconic Karamojong sheet.
