Life in the village
Immerse yourself in Karimojong culture. The afternoon is spent participating traditional games, daily activities as preparing staple foods, harvesting, beading, learning, dance, how to shoot bow and arrow and traditional friendly wrestling.
Night in the kraal
Experience typical Karimojong pastoral life by sleeping a night with the animals and shepherds in the Kraal. Help bringing the cows to the kraal, share stories around the campfire, play games with the warriors and learn how all about nomadic life
Kidepo Valley National Park
Discover one of Africa’s most scenic national parks containing one of the most exciting faunas of any Ugandan parks, with over 80 species of animals, several of which are only found in the Kidepo Valley like; cheetahs, striped hyenas, caracal, lions, elephants, leopards, warthogs, ostriches, buffaloes, giraffes and over 465 birds species.

(Read original review on Facebook) After being and travelling in Uganda for a while, I can say that the 4-days trip to Karamoja has been the most beautiful and impressive experience I have done here (and probably in my life). Kara-Tunga has been simply perfect in organizing everything and the staff (included Ivan, the cook, who is both very good and very kind) is really amazing and fun.
I cannot say what was the thing I liked the most because from the trekking to the visit to the Kraal, I have appreciated every single moment. It has been a real opportunity and luck for me to be in contact with a so different culture, extremely interesting and welcoming.

(Read original review on Facebook) Our trip to Kidepo was the best ever! Kara-tunga Arts & Tours really made this happen. Even If you have a little doubt of visiting: don’t. Going to this incredible place has been a great adventure. The people, the nature and everything else is perfect. You’ll find yourself waking up surrounded by zebra’s, roaring lions and buffalo’s. Our guides were amazing and we laughed a lot. Just go, you won’t be sorry!
