Celebrate the rich cultural heritage, historical significance and untouched nature during Tobong’u Lore Lake Turkana Cultural Festival Safari is taking place in October 2025.
We’re excited to host the Lodwar Lake Turkana Cultural Festival 2025 Group Safari Tour taking place in Lodwar, Turkana County (Northern Kenya). This group Tour creates a unique opportunity to visit the festival from Uganda. The annual event is aimed at celebrating Turkana culture together with the so-called Ateker cluster tribes from Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia and others adjacent to the lake. The festival is meant to promote peace, cultural exchange, and tourism.
The safari dates are not yet announced by the organiser, we assume it will be in October 2025.
The tour departs from Moroto (Karamoja sub-region, northeast Uganda) with a comfortable 4WD vehicle and an experienced English-speaking native driver guide. The tour includes transport, bed and breakfast and activities. It excludes meals, drinks, tips and personal expenditures.
